The University of Auckland is pleased to offer an opportunity for top-performing Year 13 students to study a University of Auckland course while still at school through the Young Scholars Programme. The Young Scholars Programme course offerings for 2022 have now been confirmed and information is available on our website.  The list of courses and programmes for 2022 is still being added to so please keep an eye out for additions over the coming weeks.

Currently, the following courses are offered via distance learning – Introduction to Music Technology, Philosophy and Statistics – so suitable for Chch sts.

Applications should be completed by students before 8 December 2021 with all applications and supporting documentation submitted as early as possible.  Note: SMC also has an internal application form for all STAR courses, so please see Ms McLaughlin for this form if you are interested.

This programme is similar to the STAR course programme that the University of Canterbury has been running for many years.

Lincoln University have also added two STAR course offerings for senior students for 2022.

For any queries regarding the courses, please contact the appropriate academic coordinator noted for the course. Contact details for the course coordinators are available on the Young Scholars courses and contacts page. The academic coordinator will then be able to inform you of the application and enrolment process as it applies to their particular faculty.
